UAE: Mohammed bin Rashid reviews development work at Dubai Int Airport Terminal 3
Dubai International Airport has recorded the best quarterly performance in its history with 23 million travellers in the first quarter of 2024,
Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai reviewed the upgrades and amenities at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3. He inspected daily operations and enquired about the facilities provided for departing and arriving passengers.
"Dubai International Airport is a cultural interface that reflects our aspirations for the future," Sheikh Mohammed remarked. "We are constantly working to improve the experience of travellers through the airport and provide the highest levels of excellence in terms of infrastructure, services, and advanced technologies to ensure the comfort and safety of travellers."
Senior officials accompanying the visit
During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by senior officials including His Excellency Mohammed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai; His Excellency Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai; His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and other senior officials.

His Highness stressed the importance of ensuring the highest technical preparedness in infrastructure and enhancing the efficiency of services provided to customers and travelers across the emirate. He thanked all the teams working at the airport for their outstanding efforts, reflecting Dubai's vision to be a preferred destination for travelers worldwide.

Record growth
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed highlighted the exceptional performance of Dubai International Airport, attributing its continued achievement of record growth rates in terms of international passengers to Sheikh Mohammed’s vision and guidance. "This reflects the ambitious goals included in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy and place it among the top three urban economies in the world," said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed.
He noted that Dubai International Airport has recorded the best quarterly performance in its history this year, with 23 million travelers in the first quarter of 2024, marking an 8.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
